Manure is not a disposal problem — it is a nutrient supply that never got refined. DVI separates it into products a grower can actually buy, apply, and account for.

Liquid Potash

Potassium delivered as a carbonate rather than a chloride salt, so it carries a fraction of the chloride of conventional muriate — and it brings humic and fulvic acids and organic carbon along with the potash. Runs through standard liquid equipment.

Liquid Nitrogen

Nitrogen recovered from the same manure as an ammonium carbonate solution — a clear, water-like liquid with no chloride and no sediment. Suited to fertigation and in-season application, and nitrogen that stays in agriculture instead of leaving as an emission.

Crystal Nitrogen

The same recovered nitrogen taken to a dry crystal instead of a solution. Ammonium bicarbonate, at several times the nitrogen concentration of the liquid, so it stores and ships without hauling the water. Dissolves for fertigation or blends dry.

A dry, stable, low-odor fertilizer carrying nitrogen, phosphate, and the organic matter the manure started with. Easy to store, bulk-haul, blend, and spread.

DVI builds commercial plants, not demonstration units. A single facility is sized in the hundreds of thousands of gallons per day, with additional trains added in parallel above that — placing the largest dairies, feedlots, hog operations, and poultry complexes in the country well within range.

Each facility is engineered around the daily volume the operation actually produces, so the plant matches the herd rather than the herd working around the plant.

Clean water

Clean water, returned to the operation.

Manure is mostly water. DVI separates that water and returns it clean to the operation for reuse, rather than adding it to a lagoon that has to be stored, pumped, and hauled.

What remains is a fraction of the original volume — and it is product. Hauling costs fall with the volume, because water is no longer being trucked in order to move nutrients.

What changes on the operation

The nutrient load leaves as product, not as field loading.

Nearly everything difficult about manure is downstream of one fact: the nutrients have to go somewhere, and traditionally that somewhere is the ground nearby. Take the nutrients out as a saleable product and the whole chain of consequences changes with it.

Field loading goes away

Nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus leave the operation in a tank or a truck instead of going out on the nearest available acres. The nutrient balance on your ground stops being set by how much manure you produced.

Regulatory headroom

Less lagoon storage to maintain, a smaller land base needed for application, and far less nutrient sitting on site waiting for a weather window. Expansions stop running into the manure plan first.

Runoff and discharge risk drops

The volume that could leave the site in a rain event is a fraction of what it was, and most of the water that does leave has already been cleaned up. Fewer odor complaints, too.

Manure becomes revenue

The line item that has only ever cost money — storage, pumping, hauling, spreading, compliance — turns into a product stream with a market on the other end of it.

Producers, retailers, and growers.

  • Livestock operations. The nutrient load leaves the operation as a product instead of accumulating as a liability, and the acreage question stops setting the ceiling on the herd.
  • Ag retailers and blenders. A domestically produced fertilizer supply, made from a feedstock that is not tied to overseas mines or shipping lanes.
  • Growers. Potassium and nitrogen with a lower salt load, plus organic carbon that a refined salt fertilizer does not deliver.
  • Landowners and neighbors. Less raw manure moving and less of it sitting — which is usually what the community actually cares about.

DVI systems are built and running on working livestock operations, producing fertilizer that ships and is applied. The engineering behind them is proprietary and remains so — but the products are in the market, the analyses are independent, and we are glad to review them with a serious counterparty.
